The ZHUYING S06 provides SWIR imaging from 0.4 to 1.7 μm using an InGaAs detector with TEC (thermoelectric) cooling for enhanced sensitivity. SWIR bridges the gap between visible light and thermal infrared — enabling unique capabilities including passive night vision using stellar illumination, laser spot detection at common EO/IR wavelengths, and see-through-glass imaging.

Why SWIR?

Short-wave infrared is reflected solar radiation, not thermal emission. This enables SWIR cameras to:

  • Image through certain plastics and glass that block visible light
  • Detect laser designators and rangefinders (1.06 μm, 1.55 μm bands)
  • Provide day/night operation using passive illumination
  • Reveal moisture content differences in materials

Key Features

  • 0.4–1.7 μm spectral coverage — visible + NIR + SWIR in one sensor
  • TEC cooling — improved sensitivity vs room-temperature InGaAs
  • 640×512 resolution at 15 μm pixel pitch
  • CameraLink output with RS422 communication

Typical Applications

Night vision augmentation, laser spot detection and tracking, industrial quality control (moisture, sorting), spectroscopy, and scientific research.
